Modular Landscapes

 

Modular landscapes can be reconstructed, reordered, and remade. These works were created shortly after the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, the loss of home, and traveling without a known destination.   Each module is fabricated from cast porcelain slabs that are hand cut, laminated, compressed  and fired to ^11.  Celadon glazes are ball milled for 3 days and subjected to an hours worth of heavy reduction at ^012 in order to trap carbon
