Repurposed commercial products, passive hydropnic system, common houseplants. Length is 100 ft. The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning, “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the sun rises and sets due east and west. 

The Vernal Equinox brings increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna however, it is wintertime and spring has not yet arrived. In order to generate an artificial Equinox, I become a “light mover” providing light and warmth to the tender chard plants. PA speakers broadcast the repeating clicks of a metronome counting down the arrival spring and keeping me moving with a clear sense of purpose.
