PlantBot ArtLab

New ideas in civic engagement, art and technology, and STEM converge in an 18' off-grid trailer converted into a mobile project and exhibition space. The PlantBot ArtLab can reach any community connected to a road and can arrive ready for community interaction. Essentially, the trailer acts as the stage for the dissemination of information and expansion of creativity while proving museums and galleries are not the only places for art to exist.

The PlantBot ArtLab visits communities to interact directly with local populations through hands-on art activities including the creation of other plant/robot hybrids and major mothing events. These complex educational art activities blend natural science, robotics, environmental literacy and sustainable practices in a collaborative and interactive experience that expands the imagination. Participants enter the trailer, don a lab coat, and create experimental artwork. Under the guidance of the artist team of PlantBot Genetics, these projects range from unique materials such as remote controlled robots, recycled toy animatronics, of both living and artificial plant materials to solar powered insects, and living moths.
